The Colour Project was the second project in the first year of BA Hons Fashion design at NTU. This project was a collaboration with Nottingham-based charity Emmanuel House which aids the homeless community in the city. The task was to create an outerwear garment for a service user of Emmanuel House with instructions for properties of the garment given through 'be' words. Jasmine chose the words 'be warm' and 'be dry' and she constructed a concept that fit these properties- she looked at the protective properties, shape and colours of the exoskeletons of insects and applied this to their garment designs.
