jasmine venice mccallion
I am a BA Fashion Design student with a passion for creating an enticing atmosphere within my work.
QUALIFACTIONS
First Year BA Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University.
Achieved a Distinction in UAL Extended Diploma in Art and Design specialising in Fashion Design.
9 GCSE qualifications including a 7 in Art and A* in Textiles.
ACHIEVEMENTS
I completed my Extended Diploma FMP during the first covid lockdown, creating a final garment from a concept and ensuring my piece kept sustainability central by using second hand garments from charity shops and car-boot sales.
SKILLS
I am able to use an industrial lockstitch machine and an overlocking machine. I can cover design basics including seams and pattern cutting. I also have a knowledge of embellishments and how to add fastenings such as zips and poppers.
INTERESTS
In my design work, I have an innate passion for oddities and deformities. I love the idea of fashion as an unfixed concept that allows the wearer to present themselves in a variety of ways and I want my creations to reflect this. I keep sustainability central in my work often upcycling garments, re-using scraps and old garments to create something new and intriguing.
